The Side of Angels

It's two alpha badasses in one short story! Quincy Harker meets Joe Ledger, and now Harker has to hunt down a rogue vampire while not letting the ass-kicking Baltimore cop realize that there's more to this fight than just a normal bad guy. This short story takes place just days before the events in Patient Zero, before Ledger learned exactly how weird the world could get. Harker has to hide his magic and use all his limited charm to keep the wary Ledger from guessing that there's more to him than meets the eye. And he still has to catch the bad guy, too boot!
